Thank You For Sharing Your Motivation For Learning Japanese

Thank you for the responses to last week's blog, "Motivation for Learning a Language". It is very interesting to read what motivates other people. If you haven't checked them out, please do, or write your own. I mentioned my motivation was a love of movies, but besides that I like learning languages in general. I also like to learn other cultures and get to know the people. When traveling, I like trying new languages (even just greetings), and interacting with the local people. You don't have to be perfect; the important thing is your willingness to communicate. I hope you have an opportunity to try your Japanese some day.

日本語を習う動機を教えてくれてどうもありがとう

先週の私のブログ｢外国語を習う動機｣に対する質問に答えてくださった皆さん、どうもありがとうございました。皆さんのいろいろな動機を読むのは、とても興味深かったです。まだ読んでいない方は、ぜひ読んでみてください。そしてあなた自身の動機も教えてくださるとうれしいです。私の英語を習う動機となったのは、映画好きなことからと述べましたが、それ以外にも、私は概して外国語を習うことが好きなのです。そして、他の文化について学んだり、そこに住む人々のことを知ることが好きです。旅行するときには、たとえそれが挨拶程度であっても、その国の言葉を使ってみて、現地の人と触れあうことが好きです。完璧でなくてもいいのです。大切なことは、伝えたいという意欲です。皆さんにもいつか、日本語を実際に使ってみる機会があるといいなと思います。

Senshuu no watashi no burogu "Gaikokugo o narau douki" ni taisuru shitsumon ni kotaete kudasatta minasan, doumo arigatou gozaimashita. Minasan no iroirona douki o yomu nowa, totemo kyoumibukakatta desu. Mada yonde inai kata wa, zehi yonde mite kudasai. Soshite anata jishin no douki mo oshiete kudasaru to ureshii desu. Watashi no eigo o narau douki to natta nowa, eigazukina koto kara to nobemashita ga, sore igai nimo, watashi wa gaishite gaikokugo o narau koto ga suki nano desu. Soshite, hoka no bunka ni tsuite manandari, soko ni sumu hitobito no koto o shiru koto ga suki desu. Ryokoku suru toki niwa, tatoe sore ga aisatsu teido de attemo, sono kuni no kotoba o tsukatte mite, genchi no hito to fureau koto ga suki desu. Kanpeki de nakutemo ii no desu. Taisetsuna koto wa, tsutaetai o iu iyoku desu. Minasan nimo itsuka, nihongo o jissai ni tsukattemiru kikai ga aru o ii na to omoimasu.
