Notes

The respectful prefix "o" is used for both "oshougatsu (お正月)" and "osake (お酒)." In this case it expresses simple politeness. 

The particle "kara (から)" follows verbs to indicates a cause or reason. 

"Ne (ね)" is a sentence ending particle which indicates agreement with the other person.
