Kanji Rule (5): Circles Became Squares.

Pictures are turned into kanji, but there are no circles used in kanji. Therefore circles became squares. The curved lines also became straight lines.

    evening

  • Reading
    On-reading: seki
    Kun-reading: yuu

  • Mnemonics
    The sun sets into the side of a mountain. The shape of the sun became a square.
