Kanji Rule (4): 
Verbs Can Also Become Pictures.

Pictures can be drawn for both nouns and adjectives. How about verbs? If there is a shape for the verb, you can also draw a picture. 

  • Meaning
    to hear, to listen

  • Reading
    On-reading: bun
    Kun-reading: ki(ku)

  • Mnemonics
    There is a gate and the sound comes through the gate. You hear the sound with your ears.
