Kanji Rule (4): 
Verbs Can Also Become Pictures.

Pictures can be drawn for both nouns and adjectives. How about verbs? If there is a shape for the verb, you can also draw a picture. 

  • Meaning
    to be distressed

  • Reading
    On-reading: kon
    Kun-reading: koma(ru)

  • Mnemonics
    Look at this character. The enclosure is around a tree, therefore the tree can't get bigger. This tree is "distressed."
