"Peko peko" is used to express a strong feeling of hunger. It is usually used in the form, "onaka ga peko peko da." Words like "peko peko" are called onomatopoeic words.

(5) What do you call the snack that you eat around three? --- 三時ごろに、少しおなかがすいたときに食べるものを何といいますか。
