Notes

"Ja (じゃ)" is a colloquial form of "dewa (では)". "Ka (か)" is often used in the pattern "~ dewa (ja) nai ka", and asks a rhetorical question for emphasis. "Kara (から)" is used at the end of a sentence, and indicates censure or warning to the listener.
