Proverb of the Day: Nikumarekko yo ni habakaru

This week's proverb is " Nikumarekko yo ni habakaru (憎まれっ子世にはばかる)". It means, "Ill weeds grow fast; Bad apples never disappear".

Here is some vocabulary from the proverb. "Ni" is a particle.

nikumarekko 憎まれっ子 --- troublemaker (bad apples)
yo 世 --- the world, a society
habakaru はばかる --- reign supreme; lord it over
