Word of the Day Email Course Starts!
Wednesday June 18, 2008
I want to let you know that I've started "Word of the Day" lessons by email. Each day you will receive a new word with a definition, pronunciation and example sentences. I hope they will help you to build vocabulary or refresh your knowledge. If you are interested, click here to subscribe. I've also started adding romaji translations for "Namiko’s Blog Lessons". I would encourage you to learn as much Japanese writing as possible, but I thought Japanese translation (in kanji, hiragana and katakana) might be a little bit overwhelming for beginners. The important thing is to enjoy reading and learn something from them. I always appreciate your comments or input about my column.

Sounds great! I’ll subscribe right away.
Yes, I’ve subscribed it. Can I also suggest to put in the audio files for the sample sentance.
This will help the learner to pronounce the words correctly.
I understand that in Japanese pronounciation have 4 different sound like Chinese. Once the sound pronounce incorrectly it will be in a different meaning.

Hi Abe-san,
I’ve received the first “Word of the Day” right after I registered. It was great! Would it be possible to add translation in Kana and Kanji so intermediate students can also benefit from your hard work? Thanks a lot.

Namiko Sensei,
Thanks very much for setting up this “Word of the day email course”! I am a subscriber already
The words you choose are useful and the example sentences are easy to understand. I just have a little suggestion. It would be perfect if the email can include the Japanese characters (hiragana, katagana, kanji) as well, in addition to the romanji transliteration.
本当に、どうもありがとうございます。
Comprehensive detailed and loads of fun is this blog. Each and every line that’s presented is value its weight in gold. It has to be esteemed the ease of access one could look through diverse posts without any problem. To my feel, the author is cool and has studied good on the subject. Doubtless I am coming back to see what else the writer has to provide. Relevant photos are included to the posts and make it even more interesting. I love the manner the writer convinces you bit by bit. The colors of the blog do not stress the eyes thanks for suchlike balmy colors. The author uses a writing fashion which I love. It fully makes you wish to read to the end.
